A blank screen that is both a technique and a subject.
The Yosemite series started by eliminating the language of the design . The Apenhavei series is a series that actively captures the randomness that occurs there, leading to the elimination of artificiality as much as possible . And the UY law series that simply drags colors . The title of the exhibition, "Overlapping Time", will be an installation of works that have surfaced over the past 10-odd years using blank screens. Please take a look at the color sounds that were born and became messages through each series.
Omi Kazama / Artist Born in Kamakura
In 1998 , in San Diego, California, he learned about silkscreen printing after meeting street art pioneer OBEY and Shepard Fairey . Became interested in his approach to society through his art and started producing.
After returning to Japan, he put up screen-printed posters on the street and started his career as an artist. At the same time, he opened " Daizu Experiment " with a friend in Nakameguro, Tokyo.
The gallery invites artists from overseas and promotes interaction with the artists who gather at the gallery. We also provide production and exhibition spaces for domestic and foreign artists. It becomes a place for biased cultural exchange development and expresses the extension of the street. ( There is V on Azain! / 2005, which records the situation at that time , and DYZ / 2012 Bueno Books, which contains the current works and interviews of the artists who gathered there . )
Participated in Barnstormers, an artist painting collaborative based in NY and Tokyo. Learn different methods and perspectives. Since 2010 , he has been conducting live screen printing activities on the street, BIGO project to raise awareness of organic cotton and encourage upcycling of old clothes at Patagonia, Mountains and Roads, and events held all over the country . .

Realizing the importance of providing a place where unintentional, specific happenings occur in the production of works, he places importance on expression using blank silk screen prints. Normally, silk screen prints are designed to print a pattern, that is, a concept, but by removing the pattern itself, the liquid ink is allowed to take its own attitude, and the color composition and organic graphic shapes are combined to create a finished product. I create abstract expressions. The things that are reflected there are like the workings of nature and living things that Kazama himself is overwhelmed and fascinated by the chaos and mysterious feeling . so beautiful.
Since then, Kazananaomi's art techniques have used the plain screen, and although the works are created by the expression of various colors,
