From July 4th (Monday) to July 10th (Sunday), 2022, at the flagship store "DENIS MADE IN TOKYO" in MIYASHITA PARK ,
Chonmaru solo exhibition
in the jungle". The opening reception will be held on Friday, July 8th from 16:00 to 20:00.
Chonmaru
Started his own art activities around 2015. In addition to creating murals for shops and offices, he is active in a wide range of activities, including graphic design for printed matter and providing illustrations. In recent years, while pursuing a pattern-like abstract style that fills the entire canvas while maintaining the balance of straight lines and curves with a single brush, this solo exhibition, which has been four years since his last solo exhibition, has been a favorite since before his activities. A number of new works have been released with a new spotlight on the mysterious jungle of subtropical plants and the animals that lurk there. I would be happy if you could enjoy the rhythm and density of the color scheme that spreads lively on the screen.

<Profile> Chonmaru: Started his own art activities around 2015 after working as a web production company and designer. In addition to creating murals for shops and offices, he is active in a wide range of activities, including graphic design for printed matter and providing illustrations. The source of inspiration for my work comes from my curiosity about how the world, nature and the universe, including both material and non-material aspects, are made up of. The history and buildings of the old past, the original and strange topography that nature reveals, and the unexpected forms of plants. The strange behavior of the world of elementary particles. The many mysteries and questions that exist are always the essence of my work.
