KOMI is. He said that humans are like spheres.
In other words, I think you're saying that humans are creatures that are seamlessly multifaceted and have sides that adapt from time to time. This also applies to KOMI itself. KOMI pulls floats, skateboards, wraps, and does woodworking at a fixed time every year. Although he has various aspects, all of them are KOMI himself. When I have so many facets, sometimes I suddenly feel a sense of belonging somewhere, wondering who I am.
Belonging to various places, on the contrary, feels like an alien who doesn't belong anywhere. In today's world, where online and offline parallel worlds come and go, strings of unknown origin are entwined, and questions about identity, where and who I am, are piled up again and again.
Among them, KOMI seems to play with the stance that he is himself, not that he belongs to somewhere. It seems that he could be a skater, a float puller, a woodworker, or an alien. His attitude makes us feel that the world that seems to be intricately entwined before our eyes may actually be something that can be unraveled unexpectedly easily.
